What The Trees Advise

One day you look up
discover this whole world
turned green in the rain.
Simple, says the world,
Go be thirsty, too.
Tilt your face
to the sky
Take the rain
inside
and like lemon,
apple, pear, plum,
pecan, like all before
you,
Ripen.

  1. This is just lovely. Really. Thanks.
I get your posts by email delivered to my inbox and now and again, when one is just too good to read only once I keep it there to go back to again and again. This one will be staying there for quite a while.
