The State Of: Our Attention Span

the head of the history department
told me,
shaking his head,
Lately
I don’t have the attention span
for a whole book

He said more,
I think,
but I was
Distracted
and didn’t
hear any more

  1. Gosh. When I saw the title, came hoping you had some cure. Well no, so suppose I’ll just keep my short span. And one more reason why I do NOT write “epic” poems.
